Product Overview

The Jubilee is a large two-way floorstanding loudspeaker at the top of the Klipsch Heritage range. Both bands are horn-loaded: two 12-inch LF drivers operate in a patented horn-loaded vented enclosure, while a 7-inch titanium-diaphragm HF compression driver feeds a large horn.

The supplied external DSP crossover divides the system at 340Hz and manages phase, time delay, equalisation and gain. The loudspeaker contains no power amplification and requires separate external amplifier channels for its LF and HF sections.

Design & Technology

Horn loading for both LF and HF bands

The Jubilee uses horn loading for both bands in a two-way system. Its LF cabinet combines two 12-inch drivers and vented loading with a folded horn, while the HF section couples a 7-inch titanium-diaphragm compression driver to a large horn.

The wide operating range of the 7-inch HF compression driver allows a 340Hz crossover. Rather than adding a dedicated midrange driver, one HF driver and horn cover most of the vocal range and the frequencies above it.

Separate external amplification for each band

The supplied DSP sets phase, time delay, equalisation and gain for the LF and HF sections as well as providing the crossover. Its outputs feed separate LF and HF power-amplifier channels, which connect to the independent inputs on each loudspeaker.
