ETX-15P
A two-way self-powered PA loudspeaker combining a 15-inch SMX LF driver, SST waveguide, 135dB maximum SPL and FIR-Drive DSP in a portable enclosure.
- Drivers
- 15in LF + 1.25in HF
- Maximum SPL
- 135dB SPL
- Coverage
- 90° × 60°

Product Overview
The ETX-15P is a 15-inch, two-way self-powered PA loudspeaker in Electro-Voice's ETX series. It combines an SMX2150 LF driver with a DH3-B titanium compression driver, while the SST (Signal Synchronized Transducers) waveguide provides nominal 90° × 60° coverage. Electro-Voice specifies a 48Hz–20kHz frequency response (-3dB) and 135dB maximum SPL.
A 2,000W Class D amplifier and FIR-Drive DSP are integrated. Presets, crossover settings, three-band EQ, delay, and peak and thermal protection are accessible from the onboard LCD, with support for pole mounting, floor-monitor use, tripod mounting, stacking over a subwoofer and suspension.

Design & Technology
15-inch SMX LF driver
The LF section uses Electro-Voice's SMX2150, combining a composite cone, flux-stabilising rings and thermal management to support the output and power handling required in portable PA. A 1.25-inch DH3-B titanium compression driver handles HF and crosses to the LF section at 1.5kHz.
90° × 60° coverage from the SST waveguide
SST (Signal Synchronized Transducers) is Electro-Voice's approach to coordinating driver placement and waveguide geometry. In the ETX-15P it provides nominal 90° horizontal × 60° vertical coverage and manages the transition in radiation through the LF/HF crossover region.
2,000W amplification and FIR-Drive

The 2,000W Class D amplifier works with FIR-Drive DSP to manage frequency and phase correction, crossover, and peak and thermal protection within the system. Electro-Voice describes FIR filtering as a way to address amplitude and phase independently and shape the response of the complete driver-and-enclosure system.
Self-contained setup controls
The rear LCD provides application presets, subwoofer crossover settings, three-band EQ, delay and input level adjustment. A settings lock helps maintain repeatable configuration in both standalone use and multi-loudspeaker deployments.
Plywood enclosure for portable and installed use
The 18mm, 13-ply birch-plywood enclosure includes handles and supports both pole-mounted and floor-monitor operation. The pole socket offers 0° and 7.5° angles, while eight M10 points support suspension, allowing use in portable systems as well as fixed installations.
