Product Overview
The ICC12/3 is an active beam-steering column array in the Iconyx Compact series, introduced by Renkus-Heinz in 2020. Each of its twelve 3-inch full-range drivers has an independent DSP and amplifier channel. From an enclosure 1,003mm high and 111mm wide, it electronically sets the vertical beam angle and opening angle.
Horizontal coverage is 120° below 3kHz and 90° above 3kHz. Vertically, the beam can be aimed up or down by 30°, with a UniBeam opening angle from 10° to 30°. RHAON II software provides setup and monitoring, while the current platform also supports OmniBeam, which derives coverage from a venue model.

Design & Technology
A column array with 12 individually driven elements
Twelve vertically aligned 3-inch full-range drivers receive independent DSP and amplifier channels. Per-driver level and delay settings use interference between radiators to control the main vertical beam, opening angle and sidelobes. The acoustic axis can be aimed at the audience while the enclosure remains aligned with a wall or column.
Controlled bandwidth and horizontal coverage
Electronic steering operates from 800Hz upward, while array directivity control begins at 400Hz. Horizontally, the radiation of the individual 3-inch drivers provides nominal coverage of 120° below 3kHz and 90° above 3kHz. Vertical control therefore comes from the DSP array, while horizontal coverage follows the driver radiation rather than being narrowed in the same way.
Aiming from a wall-aligned enclosure

Electronic aiming over ±30° combines with a 10–30° beam width to match mounting height and audience depth. Because the enclosure does not need to be physically tilted toward listeners, it can be integrated into historic buildings, houses of worship and auditoria where visual impact must be limited.
RHAON II and UniBeam
RHAON II configures beam angle, beam width, EQ, delay and level, and also monitors the system. UniBeam uses a shaped radiation distribution rather than a simple constant-width beam to improve level consistency over distance. Settings are sent to each ICC12/3 over the control network.
OmniBeam derives settings from a venue model
OmniBeam is the current RHAON II workflow that automatically generates coverage from venue dimensions and array placement. Introduced by Renkus-Heinz in 2024, it supports the current Iconyx Compact range. It creates an initial configuration from the target audience area instead of requiring every beam parameter to be set manually.
RN and Dante-enabled RD1 variants
The ICC12/3-RN provides analogue or AES3 audio and Ethernet for RHAON II, while the ICC12/3-RD1 adds Dante input. The model suffix distinguishes the audio transport, while beam configuration and monitoring use RHAON II on both versions.
An integrated 111mm-wide enclosure
The twelve drivers, amplifiers, DSP and network electronics fit within an aluminium enclosure measuring 1,003mm high, 111mm wide and 121mm deep. It weighs 12kg and mounts to a wall with the included bracket. Black and white are standard, with custom colours and a weather-resistant option available.
Installed systems with subwoofers
With a -3dB lower limit of 135Hz, the enclosure is focused on speech-band clarity and coverage control. Music systems requiring extended low frequencies are configured with suitable installation subwoofers and crossover settings. Internal DSP provides HPF/LPF, EQ and up to 340ms of delay.
