Trondheim Rocks 2026 in Norway was held at Ladesletta after relocating from the E.C. Dahls brewery site, with 12 bands on the bill including headliners Volbeat and DumDum Boys. NPro supplied the main reinforcement package, built around Alcons Audio loudspeakers and supporting components, with system design led by Erwan Thomas for the new site conditions.
The main left/right PA used 32 LR28/80 large-format double 14-inch line array loudspeakers, flown as 16 elements per side, working with 30 BC543 triple 18-inch cardioid subwoofers. Coverage was extended with LR24/90 and LR18/90 out fill arrays, LR18/90 in fills, RR12 point-source array down fills, VR12/90 front fills, and a front-of-house near fill setup using two BF181 subwoofers with two VR12/90 loudspeakers. Alcons Sentinel10 amplified loudspeaker controllers powered the system, with ALControl software used for management.
The Ladesletta site’s position in a prominent wind corridor made consistent coverage and predictable behavior a practical concern across the audience area. During planning, prediction and simulation were part of the workflow, with EASE 5 and the newly integrated IMMI workflow used for early evaluation. For an urban festival environment, the deployment is notable less as a simple equipment list than as a case where coverage design, subwoofer control, and future sound management data were treated as connected parts of the same system.
