Monitor Audio announced the availability of Silver Series 8G on August 17, 2026. The range comprises Silver 500, 300, 100, 50, On-Wall, Centre, and AMS models, covering systems from two-channel stereo and compact 5.1 layouts through to Dolby Atmos 7.1.4. High Gloss Black, Satin White, and European Walnut are the three finishes.

The bass and midrange drivers use Monitor Audio's C-CAM metal-cone construction with the latest RST III surface geometry, developed to increase rigidity and suppress unwanted resonances. The C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter receives a revised rear chamber, a new shorting ring, and UD Waveguide II. Claims for improved clarity and dispersion come from the manufacturer.

At low frequencies, the new Silent Flow port combines a larger diameter with a flare geometry inspired by the interlocking feathers of an owl. Monitor Audio says the shape guides airflow more smoothly and reduces turbulence. The redesign also covers the crossover components, through-bolt driver bracing, and top-adjustable outrigger feet.

UK pricing starts at £800 per pair for Silver 50 8G, followed by £1,500 for Silver 100 8G, £2,000 for Silver 300 8G, and £2,650 for Silver 500 8G. Silver On-Wall 8G is £450 each, Silver Centre 8G is £800 each, and Silver AMS 8G is £900 per pair. All seven models are available to order.

Rather than updating a single enclosure, Monitor Audio has carried the new cone, tweeter, port, crossover, and cabinet-bracing work across floorstanding, stand-mount, on-wall, centre-channel, and height-channel formats. The practical result is one shared platform that can scale from a stereo pair into a multichannel home-cinema system.
