Product Overview

T10 is a medium-format three-way self-powered line-source module in PK Sound's Trinity range. Two bandpass-loaded 10in LF drivers, two 6.5in MF drivers mounted to a CMI waveguide and a 4in dual-diaphragm HF coupled to a planar waveguide are powered by a four-channel 3,000W Class D amplifier and onboard DSP.

Horizontal coverage is adjustable from 60° to 120° in 5° steps, with symmetric or asymmetric settings. Inter-cabinet vertical angle is adjustable from 0° to 12° in 0.1° increments. Both axes are controlled remotely by onboard industrial linear actuators, while inclinometers, IR sensors and networking allow coverage to be changed from PK .dynamics after the array has been flown.

Design & Technology

Bandpass-loaded 10in LF drivers

Two 10in LF drivers operate in bandpass-loaded internal chambers and radiate through spaced apertures on the front. PK Sound combines these LF apertures with the central CMI waveguide to maintain horizontal pattern continuity.

MF/HF integration through CMI

Two 6.5in MF drivers mount to the patented Coherent Midrange Integrator, while the 4in dual-diaphragm HF feeds the central planar waveguide. The CMI combines MF and HF into one variable-directivity section.

Symmetric or asymmetric 60–120° horizontal coverage

Actuators on both sides move the CMI and surrounding LF-aperture geometry to change horizontal coverage in 5° steps. In addition to symmetric patterns, the two sides can be set independently for asymmetric coverage.

Remote 0.1° vertical adjustment

An actuator within the rigging sets inter-cabinet angle from 0° to 12° in 0.1° increments. The array can be flown straight and each module then adjusted remotely for the audience geometry.

Integrated amplification, DSP and sensors

Each module integrates four-channel 3,000W Class D amplification, DSP, networking, an inclinometer and IR sensors. FIR and IIR filters handle frequency response and crossover processing, with limiter and monitoring functions controlled per enclosure.

Auto-Array and remote coverage changes

Auto-Array in PK .dynamics uses onboard sensor and network data to identify each module's position and angle. Mechanical splay, horizontal coverage and DSP are managed in one control environment, allowing coverage changes after deployment for audience areas, reflective surfaces and neighbouring zones.
