The AES Latin American Convention 2026 takes place August 10-12 at the Lima Chamber of Commerce Convention Center in Peru. Organized by AES Peru, the regional gathering is aimed at audio professionals, students, and enthusiasts from across Latin America.

The program is organized around music production, sound engineering, live audio and broadcasting, and technology and innovation. Presentations by local and international specialists will be accompanied by equipment demonstrations and opportunities for attendees to meet across disciplines.

A dedicated Immersive Room adds a listening component to the program. Rather than treating spatial audio only as a conference topic, the room gives visitors a chance to hear how loudspeaker layout, signal processing, and content work together in a complete playback environment.

That joined-up approach is particularly relevant to live and broadcast work, where loudspeakers, DSP, monitoring, and transport are parts of the same system. Housing talks and demonstrations under one roof makes it easier to follow the connections between the technologies.

Regional conventions also reveal priorities that are easy to miss at the industry's largest international shows. The Lima event puts Latin American production, education, broadcast, and live-sound communities at the center of the discussion, reflecting the conditions in which those systems are actually designed and used.
