Fellowship Bible Church in Sewell, New Jersey has upgraded the sound system in its multipurpose gymnasium, a space used for gatherings, youth group events, community wellness programs, and live worship. AV integration firm Starlite handled the project and specified a system led by Martin Audio TORUS loudspeakers.
The final system uses two flown hangs, with each array made up of two TORUS T1230 elements and one TORUS T1215 element. A Martin Audio SX218 dual-18-inch subwoofer provides low-frequency extension, while four Martin Audio CDD15 loudspeakers handle delay coverage and allow the room to be configured into multiple audio zones. Power comes from Martin Audio iKON iK41 amplifiers.
Starlite selected TORUS constant-curvature line arrays to direct sound toward the audience while reducing energy sent to the walls and ceiling in the hard-surfaced, high-ceiling gymnasium. The project also included impact-resistant absorption panels along the walls and additional acoustic hardware to reduce reflections from the exposed steel roof structure. The CDD15 units support delay, divisible-room, and side configurations, giving the space three distinct stereo system options for different uses.
