Extron has begun shipping the NetPA Ultra FX Series, a family of multi-zone power amplifiers available in 8-channel and 4-channel configurable-output versions. The amplifiers include Dante connectivity and DSP, and are aimed at installed systems using multiple loudspeaker types.

The NetPA Ultra FX models are software configurable and can simultaneously drive 8-ohm, 4-ohm, 70-volt, and 100-volt loads. Power is shared across two adjacent channels, with up to 800 watts available from a single channel depending on the model and system requirements. Dante support allows audio to be distributed from a centralized location to decentralized remote amplifiers across a facility, building, or campus using standard network hardware.

Integrated audio DSP lets each NetPA Ultra FX amplifier operate as an endpoint with dynamics processing and filters. The series also includes Extron InstaWake technology, specified to return from standby to full power in under 50 milliseconds. For installed projects with distributed amplification, multiple zones, and mixed loudspeaker loads, the product combines networked audio, processing, and output configuration in the amplifier stage.
