Image-Line has released FL Studio 2026, the latest version of its digital audio workstation. The update centers on a rebuilt FLEX instrument and adds the new Transmitter plugin, FL Cloud Project Backup, expanded Gopher assistance, a larger Loop Starter library, and additional workflow tools.

FLEX now has a deeper browser for searching across all packs, faster sound previewing, and advanced filters including genre categories. A new engine reduces CPU usage for new and future packs, while the Core Series adds eight free sound packs with more than 200 presets. FL Cloud Project Backup can automatically back up projects to FL Cloud Storage on save; the included storage tiers are 500 MB for Free, 5 GB for Plus, and 1 TB for Pro, with backups encrypted, private, and not used to train AI.

Gopher can now act directly inside projects, including organizing tracks, routing mixer channels, setting levels, adjusting plugin parameters, generating Piano Roll content, highlighting features and interface areas, and creating VFX scripts. Transmitter, included with the All Plugins Edition, splits audio into transient and sustain components for separate processing and routing. Other additions include an upgraded Chord Panel, Piano Roll note labels, Audio Clip Gain Controls, and Audio Logger, which continuously captures the last 60 seconds of master output, making the release focused on concrete editing, backup, sound selection, and recovery workflows.
