Extron has released the BT 100 AT D wallplate interface for bringing Bluetooth devices into Dante-equipped rooms. It can bridge a mobile phone bidirectionally for conferencing or accept stereo programme audio from a phone or tablet.
The single-gang unit connects to Dante processors such as Extron's DMP Plus AT models. PoE carries power alongside bidirectional audio and control over one network cable from the central rack, reducing local infrastructure at the wall position.
Pairing, level, and media transport can be operated from the front panel, RS-232, or the Dante network. The result preserves the convenience of bring-your-own-device calling while giving the installed system a fixed connection point and remotely manageable controls.
