TASCAM has revised its half-rack Bluetooth receiver for meeting rooms, retail, education, and other installed systems. The RX-BT10MKII uses Bluetooth 5.1 Class 1 and claims a line-of-sight range of approximately 100 metres, supporting SBC and AAC playback.
Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs are provided, with a switch to retain stereo or sum the source to mono. A front antenna and pairing control are joined by a Euroblock connection for an external pairing switch, allowing the receiver itself to remain secured in a rack or hidden location.
Device names can be edited from iOS, iPadOS, and Android, which matters when several identical receivers operate in adjacent rooms. The update is therefore less about adding consumer features and more about preventing connection errors while making Bluetooth behave predictably inside a managed AV installation.
