Klipsch introduced the third generation of Reference Premiere at Audio Advice Live 2026 on August 7. The range now comprises nine models across floorstanding, bookshelf, center-channel, and surround duties, giving buyers a common platform for anything from a straightforward stereo pair to a full Atmos installation.
The line-up includes three floorstanders - the RP-8263FA, RP-8020F, and RP-6203F - plus the RP-6103M and RP-5103M bookshelf models. Two center channels, the RP-5203C and RP-5403C, are joined by the RP-5203S surround and the more flexible RP-5103SA height/surround speaker.
The main acoustic change is a new high-density Axial Tractrix horn made with an upgraded BMC material. It is mounted flush with the baffle to reduce resonance and wavefront disruption, with the aim of delivering smoother off-axis response and a wider listening area. Klipsch's copper-colored Cerametallic woofers remain, while the floorstanders gain adjustable metal outriggers for greater stability and cabinet isolation.
For immersive systems, the flagship RP-8263FA incorporates an up-firing Dolby Atmos driver. The RP-5103SA can sit on top of a floorstander or bookshelf speaker, or be mounted on a wall as a height channel. Compatible Onkyo AV receivers also offer Klipsch Optimized Mode, which applies model-specific crossover settings during setup.
Reference Premiere III will be available in Ebony and Walnut finishes from October 2026. Klipsch is also positioning the range alongside its sealed and ported Reference Premiere subwoofers, allowing the same visual and acoustic family to scale across rooms of very different sizes.
