LEA Professional appointed Audium as its distribution partner in Portugal on August 5. Based in Lisbon, Audium has more than forty years of experience in professional audio. LEA describes the agreement as part of its continuing expansion across Europe.
Audium will represent LEA's Network Connect and Dante Connect installation amplifier ranges. Both combine onboard DSP with power-management features, while Dante Connect adds networked audio over Dante and AES67.
LEA's cloud platform allows authorised users to check amplifier status, change settings and receive notifications from an internet-connected device. That gives integrators a way to support multiple installations without treating every routine check as a site visit.
Hotels, commercial venues, education facilities and public spaces all depend on local supply and support over the life of an installed system. Under the partnership, Audium will provide regional system advice and customer support, with LEA supplying the amplifier and remote-management platform.
This is a distribution announcement rather than a product launch, but market access matters for networked amplifiers whose commissioning and maintenance sit with the local channel. LEA now has a dedicated Portuguese route for product availability and technical support.
