Marantz has refreshed four AV receivers as CINEMA Series 2: CINEMA 50, 60, the Europe-only 60 DAB, and the slim 70s. Every model now uses a 32-bit, eight-channel DAC intended to maintain consistent timing when converting several channels simultaneously.
Paid Dirac Live upgrades expand from CINEMA 50 to the 60, 60 DAB, and 70s. CINEMA 50 retains access to the wider Dirac platform, including Bass Control and Active Room Treatment, allowing room and bass optimisation to be added after purchase.
Web Control 2.0, HDMI Diagnostics 2.0, and real-time Channel Level Monitoring address setup and service work. A future firmware update is planned to add low-latency Bluetooth LE Audio. The release broadens installation tools as much as it changes the playback hardware.
