Mur Mur has revealed a prototype speaker that turns the state of a simulated world inside its enclosure into ambient sound. TechRadar featured the concept on August 14, 2026. A viewer looks through an eyepiece on top of the cabinet while listening to audio tied to the tiny world on display.
Weather, time, and events evolve autonomously inside the simulation, and the built-in speaker plays AI-generated ambience in response. It is not presented as a conventional wireless speaker for Spotify or audio from a phone, and the report does not list Bluetooth support.
The three versions shown are Block, which represents a city; Plot, a forest; and Pond, an aquatic ecosystem. Each has a different cabinet colour. The pairing of the scene in the eyepiece with the sound emerging from the enclosure is the central experience.
The prototype treats sound as an output of an internal simulation rather than a way to reproduce external content. Because the loudspeaker and the generative system operate as one object, playback is not decorative: it carries the concept itself.
Mur Mur is still developing the prototype and is seeking collaborators including musicians, technologists, and hardware producers. Pricing, release timing, driver configuration, amplifier power, and frequency response have not been disclosed, leaving its path to a commercial product open.
