LG has begun selling the xboom Blast, a portable Bluetooth loudspeaker previewed with the xboom by will.i.am range at CES 2026. Ecoustics reported on August 14 that the product is rolling out in selected global markets during August, with more territories to follow later in the year.
Its acoustic section uses two 5.25-inch neodymium woofers and two 20mm tweeters supplied by Peerless, assisted by three passive radiators. USB-C audio provides a wired playback path alongside Bluetooth rather than serving only as a charging connection.
LG specifies up to 36 hours of operation from a replaceable battery and an IP68 rating for dust and water protection. A fabric carry handle, a rope handle for vertical use, and protective side bumpers frame the Blast as an outdoor product rather than a smaller version of the karaoke-oriented Stage 501.
Bluetooth 6.1 and Auracast allow compatible loudspeakers to be linked for wider coverage. LG says AI Sound adjusts settings according to the material, while Space Calibration Pro adapts output to the surroundings. The source reports those functions but does not provide independent measurements of their effect.
Ecoustics lists the Blast as available from Amazon in the United States for $499.99. Timing and pricing will vary as the wider rollout continues, so buyers outside that market will need the relevant regional listing. The current news is the August availability and confirmed feature set, not a repeat of the January preview.
