The new multipurpose cultural centre in Vilablareix must handle speech, theatre, dance and concerts in one hall. BTM Sound concluded that the six-metre usable ceiling height made a conventional line array difficult to reconcile with sightlines and coverage.
It selected a point-source cluster of NEXO P18 loudspeakers with L18 subwoofers. P18's coaxial layout keeps the apparent source compact while targeting consistent phase and tone. An NXAMP4X2Mk2 provides crossover, equalisation, alignment and thermal and excursion protection.
A civic venue needs concert level and speech intelligibility from the same system. Front fills are planned as a later addition, showing a practical approach in which initial commissioning is followed by coverage changes informed by real events and audience data.
