PK Sound has formed PK Sound UK as a direct sales and support operation. Mike Case, George Pakenham and Martin Byrne will cover business development, customer support and system demonstrations, shortening the distance between the Canadian manufacturer and British rental companies and venues.
Its robotic line arrays can alter horizontal and vertical coverage mechanically after rigging. That proposition is difficult to communicate through specifications alone, making access to demonstrations and local design advice particularly important to adoption.
An early reference is the T8 system operating at Colchester's Mercury Theatre through August. The new organisation will ultimately be judged not only by sales, but by the time from demonstration to design, first deployment and repair. This is market entry built around service infrastructure.
