Central Assembly of God in Pennsylvania has replaced a roughly 20-year-old PA with d&b Soundscape. In the octagonal sanctuary, a level that worked near the front left the rear disconnected, while correcting the rear made the front excessive. Fresh Tech designed and installed the new system.
Five 24S point-source loudspeakers form the main system, supported by six B6 subwoofers and eight 5S front and side fills. DS100 with En-Scene maps inputs to positions on stage and distributes them over Dante. ArrayCalc helped retain existing suspension points while limiting the total cabinet count.
Users report improvement in speech understanding as well as musical separation. That matters because spatial processing is being used to deliver common information to every seat, rather than merely to create an effect. It is a practical definition of Soundscape's role in worship spaces and auditoria.
