LEC Studios opened at the beginning of 2026 as a new creative complex in the Miami metropolitan area, bringing podcast, recording, and performance spaces together with other amenities. It is the first dedicated recording studio built by Humberto Alvarez, CEO and founder of parent company Logistic Events Corp., and the Doral complex also includes a production facility, concert venue, video post-production studio, and support for the company’s new record-label initiative.
At the center of the recording studio is a Solid State Logic ORIGIN 32-channel analog console mounted in sculptural custom furniture designed and built by Malvicino Design Group. The studio includes a 9.1.4 loudspeaker system for Dolby Atmos monitoring, and ORIGIN was selected as the front end for recording, monitoring, analog summing, cue sends, and outboard routing in a modern hybrid workflow. The described session workflow normalizes DAW outputs to ORIGIN tape returns and large faders, while mic inputs and tracking chains are assigned to the short faders.
The source-supported significance is the integration of analog inline-console routing, faders, inserts, and summing into a DAW-centered production room. With E Series 242 EQ, PureDrive mic preamps, the SSL Bus Compressor in the master section, and insert points on both channel signal paths, ORIGIN serves as the operational core for a studio focused on developing new artists while also supporting established professionals.
