Cohesion announced Canvas as a simulation environment for system engineers and other users working with Cohesion systems. Its development drew on access to engineers involved in dozens of global tours and permanent installations, along with accumulated correlation between Canvas simulations and on-site field data.

The software supports importing CAD elements that represent venue architecture or event production, and it is intended to integrate with common design platforms. Its toolset covers coverage mapping, time arrival, phase response, SPL over distance, magnitude response, and other analysis functions, with an interface aimed at users familiar with professional audio design and calibration, including preset views and saved custom layouts.

Canvas incorporates the Mechanical Acoustic Calculation Engine, or MACE, for rapid rendering of coverage maps and analysis. In practical terms, it lets engineers build, test, and revise a Cohesion system design before arriving at a venue, including planning for calibration details such as microphone locations and interpretation of analysis in a specific room.
