Yamaha has formally released the DXR mk3 Series powered loudspeakers, the third generation of the DXR Series. The portable P.A. line was first announced at InfoComm and is aimed at DJs, musicians, production professionals, rental providers and venue users.

The range consists of three models: the 10-inch DXR10 mk3, 12-inch DXR12 mk3 and 15-inch DXR15 mk3. Each cabinet is designed for use as a main speaker, monitor or installed loudspeaker, and each incorporates a new 2,000W Class-D amplifier with output capability of up to 134 dB SPL. Expanded Bluetooth connectivity, a full-color LCD and mobile app control allow users to manage, tune and adjust as many as 10 speakers from one mobile device.

For setup and operation, room-specific presets, feedback suppression and real-time adjustments can be accessed from both the app and the rear panel of the speaker. Dedicated DSP presets cover FOH, monitor, DJ, live music and speech applications, giving the series a practical control workflow for portable and venue sound deployments.
