British manufacturer AVID will debut the OPUS Pre and OPUS Power at the 2026 Hong Kong High-End AV Show. The two-component range adapts technology from the flagship CELSUS electronics into a matched preamplifier and stereo power amplifier.
OPUS Pre uses an ALPS RK50 volume control and includes the Pulsus II phono stage on a dedicated 35VA transformer. Passive RIAA equalisation and adjustable gain and loading support both moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges.
OPUS Power is built around a 1.1kVA toroidal transformer and 132,000uF of reservoir capacitance, with XLR and RCA inputs. Prices are GBP15,995 for the Pre and GBP14,995 for the Power. Both will be shown in Room X15 from August 7 to 9.
