Onkyo has announced the MUSE Y-50 to mark 80 years since its 1946 founding. The design references the 1990s Integra M-588 with Bordeaux walnut side panels, a Champagne Gold fascia, and a 5.46-inch display capable of showing virtual VU meters.

The MOSFET-based Axign Class D amplifier is rated at 250W into four ohms. RCA, optical, coaxial, HDMI/ARC, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and MM/MC phono connections are joined by Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, QPlay, and MUSE-series room correction.

US availability begins in August at US$1,699, with the UK scheduled for the fourth quarter at GBP1,599. The anniversary treatment is more than cosmetic, combining television, vinyl, and network playback in one modern integrated unit.
