K Urban Beach Club in Lisbon has upgraded its sound system around KV2 Audio point-source loudspeakers. The Tagus-side property operates as a restaurant, cocktail bar and nightclub, with indoor and outdoor dance areas, a terrace and a pool. KV2 assessed the architecture and existing equipment before proposing a phased installation.
Four SL412 systems cover the main room in what the project describes as a quad double-stereo arrangement. KV2 selected the wide-dispersion cabinets to provide coverage without adding unnecessary room reflections in the open-plan space. Four full-range ESD15 enclosures serve the sides of the room.
Peripheral areas use four ESD8 and eight ESD6 loudspeakers. Twelve ES1.8 subwoofers provide the low-frequency system. Amplification comprises four ESP2000, six SL3000 and three VHD3200 units across the installed system.
The second room received two SL412 loudspeakers but retained its existing subwoofers, monitors and amplification. Parts of the former DJ-monitor setup also remain in service. That lets the venue replace the main audience system first and evaluate the result before committing to later phases.
The new system has been operating since mid-April. MONDO-DR does not provide measured coverage, reverberation or distortion data, so reports of improved sound remain the assessment of the project team and manufacturer. The documented design does make the deployment clear: separate loudspeaker groups for the main field, sides, peripheral zones and low frequencies, with the boundary of the first upgrade explicitly defined.
