English pop artist James Morrison is touring the UK and Ireland with “20 Years of Undiscovered,” marking two decades since his debut album. 22Live is supporting the run with a Martin Audio Wavefront Precision system for a vocal- and guitar-led performance.
The system uses up to 24 WPC elements, with 12 per side flown on single points. Four grids provide flexibility in smaller venues, and the boxes can be ground-stacked when required. Low-frequency reinforcement comes from 12 SXCF118 18-inch subwoofers, with four TORUS T820 elements for lip fill and four TORUS T1230 elements assigned to in-fill or out-fill duties.
22Live system tech Chris Wilcock cited WPC’s 10-degree rigging angles as useful for tailoring the design to each venue, while its 100-degree dispersion suited theatre rooms with awkward rigging positions. At Cambridge Corn Exchange, Martin Audio DISPLAY software was used to reduce reflections from a glass balcony front while steering high frequencies back toward the audience.
