MOTU’s 16A, 848 and 10pre audio interfaces have completed Milan Certification through Avnu Alliance. The announcement places the interfaces within the Milan Certified ecosystem used by professional audio brands including Meyer Sound, L-Acoustics, d&b audiotechnik and DiGiCo.
All three models include a built-in 1 Gigabit Milan AVB switch and two external network ports on the rear panel, leading Avnu to certify them as bridged end-stations. That hardware arrangement supports daisy-chaining multiple units and building networks without separate stand-alone switches.
Milan support is being provided to existing 16A, 848 and 10pre owners through a free firmware update from motu.com. Recent firmware, driver and CueMix Pro updates also add Windows ARM support, 24-channel WDM streams on Windows, 64 delay lines with up to 2 ms per channel, static IPv4 assignment, deterministic IP address connection, clock freewheeling, Mac host volume control, front-panel lockout and DAC filter options.
