Studio Technologies has announced the StudioComm Model 762 Stereo Level Control for production environments built around Dante audio-over-Ethernet. The unit is a compact, self-contained stereo monitor controller intended for recording, broadcast, post-production, and general professional audio use, with a planned showing at IBC 2026 on the Nixer Audio stand 8.F96.
The Model 762 provides two stereo Dante inputs and two stereo Dante outputs, allowing connection to broadcast routers, matrix intercom systems, video editing platforms, audio amplifiers, and powered loudspeaker systems. It supports AES67 interoperability and Dante Domain Manager, runs from a single IEEE 802.3af PoE connection, and identifies as a class 2 low-power device. Internally, it handles four Dante receiver channels and four Dante transmitter channels, with 32-bit processing, 48 kHz sampling, and bit depths up to 32-bit.
Because the Model 762 has no analog inputs or outputs, its role is specifically tied to fully digital networked monitoring rather than hybrid conversion. For tabletop spaces where monitoring control is still required, the steel enclosure, two pushbuttons, rotary encoder, LEDs, and integrated display provide local control and status feedback, including output level and Dante network information. A configuration option lets the second stereo output feed a headphone amplifier for cue use, while the free STcontroller application for Windows and macOS sets parameters such as input source selection, output dim value, and stereo pair output behavior.
