Free Baptist Church Bethel in Drachten, Netherlands has replaced the audio system in its Fonteinzaal meeting room with an Adamson P.A. designed and installed by regional integrator Audio Acoustics. The church, founded in May 1923, moved into its current facility in December 2000 after substantial growth and was regularly filling a weekly seating capacity of 7,550 by 2014.
Music is central to the church’s activity, from Sunday worship gatherings that begin with praise songs to Worship Nights and Children and Youth Ministry programs. The new full-coverage system is based on Adamson S7 two-way full-range line array cabinets, supported by IS7p two-way full-range point source cabinets and S119 subwoofers, with Lab.gruppen D-series amplifiers powering the installation.
Each S7 cabinet includes two ND7-LM16 Kevlar Neodymium drivers and an NH3-8 1.4-inch exit compression driver. The S119 uses a 19-inch ND19 Kevlar Neodymium driver with Adamson’s Advanced Cone Architecture and a 5-inch voice coil. For a church that uses live music across worship services, dedicated music evenings, lessons and youth activities, the source positions the system update as a coverage-focused reinforcement project for a heavily used room.
