Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai has completed an audio infrastructure upgrade built around DirectOut’s PRODIGY.MP platform. The year-round indoor venue has a 17,000-person capacity and hosts entertainment, sports, live performance, broadcast and event production workflows.
The system uses two PRODIGY.MP units fitted with Dante/Milan Dual network cards, two AES SRC I/O cards and an AN8 I/O card. In typical operation the units serve as primary and secondary processors, with the secondary unit providing full redundancy, while the platform can also handle matrix processing and other application-dependent tasks.
The arena’s technical team uses the PRODIGY.MPs as the master clock for its MILAN setup and also provides analog outputs as a redundant secondary protocol. In that role, the platform covers system management, clocking, routing and backup paths while preserving flexibility for visiting productions.
