Fulcrum Acoustic has released a new version of Fulcrum One as a free download. The platform is positioned as a connected workflow for Fulcrum Acoustic projects, bringing environment modeling, system design, performance evaluation, design optimization and supported hardware management into one software environment.

Room Auralization mode allows users to listen to a loudspeaker design from any position in the virtual model. It uses environmental data supplied by the user to simulate the system inside the modeled acoustic space. Mix Auralization mode lets users audition an object-based mix together with Fulcrum active acoustics technology over headphones before hearing it in a live venue. The auralization runs locally on the user’s computer, requires no special hardware and can be enhanced with head-tracking headphones.

For integrators, system designers and consultants, the update gives additional ways to review coverage, speech intelligibility, time alignment and listening experience before installation. The practical shift is that design work can be checked by listening as well as by mapping and analysis. Fulcrum says the new Fulcrum One features are available from the Fulcrum One site as a free download.
