Primax Tymphany presented two concepts at the AES Automotive Conference in Detroit, covering in-vehicle conferencing and immersive reproduction. Developed with Audio Foundry partners BdSound, Bluacs and Dirac, they explore audio functions that can evolve within a software-defined vehicle.
The conferencing concept combines an AI camera, microphones, loudspeakers and BdSound processing in a device intended to work both docked and removed. The playback system uses a force-cancelling woofer with Bluacs Fresh Air technology, lightweight headliner drivers, headrest speakers, midrange units and tweeters.
Dirac Unison, Spaces and Dimension coordinate the seats and loudspeaker zones. Production specifications, power and mass remain undefined at this concept stage, but the work frames cabin audio as a set of shared communication and playback modules rather than a permanently fixed branded system.
