The Revox World Foundation moves the Studer and Revox collection toward a public-interest preservation programme rather than a corporate display alone. Based at Revox World in Dietikon, Switzerland, it holds about 800 products alongside documents, photographs, test equipment and prototypes.
Its inclusion of engineering and manufacturing tools matters. Finished tape machines, broadcast equipment and domestic components cannot by themselves explain decisions about parts, measurement and production that shaped the final designs.
A foundation can catalogue, research and present the material on a longer horizon than a marketing exhibition. Searchable records, digital access and clear conditions for researchers will determine whether the collection develops from heritage display into a useful technical archive.
