The new range consists of the DLC-1500.8d and PLC-4K8, 8K8, 9K4 and 16K4. DLC provides eight channels and 6,000W total output, with configurations for up to 32 16-ohm loudspeakers or large 70V and 100V distributed systems.
PLC models vary channel count and total power for larger projects, using Powersoft Class D stages, SmartRail power supplies and power-factor correction. Dante/AES67, analogue and AES3 inputs sit beside DSP and Theory loudspeaker presets in a single chassis.
Installers can either select amplifiers, processing and network I/O independently or shorten design and service work with an integrated controller. Theory makes a strong case for the latter. System planning should still consider not only connected speaker count but the number of channels lost if one controller requires service.
